Information We Collect
When you shop with The Satvik Origin, we collect only what is needed to send your incense to the right doorstep and to keep your account secure. Nothing more.
INFORMATION YOU GIVE US
- Name, email address, phone number and shipping/billing address provided at checkout.
- Account details such as your password (stored in encrypted form) and saved addresses.
- Messages, reviews and support requests you send to our team.
- Preferences such as newsletter subscriptions and wishlist items.
INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY
- Device type, browser, approximate location and pages viewed on our store.
- Order and browsing history used to recommend blends you may enjoy.
How We Use Your Information
- To process orders, arrange delivery and send order confirmations and dispatch updates.
- To respond to enquiries about products, orders, returns or refunds.
- To send marketing emails about new collections and rituals - only if you have opted in.
- To improve our catalogue, site performance and customer experience.
- To detect fraudulent activity and protect the store and our customers.
We never sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it for unrelated advertising purposes.
Payment Security
All payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment providers over an encrypted connection. Card numbers, UPI credentials and net-banking details are entered directly with the payment provider.
The Satvik Origin does not store your full card details on its own systems at any point.
Third-party Services
We work with a small set of trusted partners who process data strictly on our instructions:
- Our ecommerce platform, which hosts the store and processes orders.
- Payment gateways that authorise and settle transactions.
- Courier and logistics partners who deliver your parcels.
- Email and analytics providers used for order updates and site insights.
Data Retention
Order records are retained for as long as required for accounting, tax and warranty purposes - typically eight years under applicable Indian law.
Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe. Account data is retained until you request deletion of your account.
Your Rights
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete details.
- Request deletion of your account and associated marketing data.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
- Object to, or request restriction of, certain processing activities.
We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
